I reblog this every time it comes up on my dashboard, not because it is a “rule” but because every time I see it the love and sincerity on her face hit me all over again and I think everyone deserves to see that.

Maybe River isn’t “there” in the conventional sense. But maybe he remembers- He remembers another time with another person he loved. When he wasn’t “there” in the conventional sense.

He waited too long. He ran out of time. He hates endings, and that time he didn’t get one, and that may have hurt him more than actual endings themselves.

Now he wastes no time. He was lucky enough to be given more time with her. Now, after his first moments with her, and her last moments with him, he is fully using what time he has, to give her an ending. To express his feelings before she fades or he does.

He’s not messing this up. Not again. Never again.
